\n69. A person does not know whether or not he has missed a fast, can he fast intending what he owes\/what is required [m\u0101 f\u012b al-dhimmah]; i.e. intend qad\u0323\u0101\u2019 fast if any; otherwise to be considered as a mustah\u0323abb fast?
\nA: Yes, he may intend to fast like that.<\/p>\n

70. I fasted one month or so intending qad\u0323\u0101\u2019 fast if any; otherwise to be considered for the proximity to Allah in general. Is it considered as qad\u0323\u0101\u2019 of my missed fasts?
\nA: If you intended what you were required at the time fasting, whether qad\u0323\u0101\u2019 or mustah\u0323abb, and performed fast while you owed some qad\u0323\u0101\u2019 fasts, it is considered as qad\u0323\u0101\u2019 fast<\/p>\n
