Obligatory fast
\n3. Obligatory fasts are as follows:
\n– Fast during the month of Ramadan;
\n–\u00a0 Qad\u0323\u0101\u2019 fast;
\n– Kaff\u0101rah fast;
\n– Parents’ qad\u0323\u0101\u2019 fast;
\n– Mustah\u0323abb fast which became obligatory due to nadhr, ‘promise’, or ‘swear’;
\n– Fast on the third day of i’tik\u0101f
\n– Fast instead of slaughtering in tamattu’ haj\u00a0*\u00a0.<\/p>\n

*\u00a0If a pilgrim is not able to slaughter and cannot\u00a0borrow money, he should, instead, fast for ten days, of which three days is kept during haj and seven days in his wat\u0323an.<\/p>\n
